Basketball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom suffered their closest defeat since November 22nd on Monday. They fell just short of the Las Lomas Knights by a score of 65-62. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 750th, while the Knights are ranked 302nd).

Freedom dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Las Lomas, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.

Freedom will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Amador Valley at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Las Lomas and Saint Francis will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Saint Francis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
