Soccer Game Preview: Oldenburg Academy vs. Heritage Christian

The Oldenburg Academy Twisters will take on the Heritage Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Oldenburg Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Monrovia as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but Oldenburg Academy sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Heritage Christian challenged Muncie Burris on Thursday. The Eagles never let the Owls get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Heritage Christian's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Oldenburg Academy's victory bumped their record up to 19-0-1. As for Heritage Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Oldenburg Academy took their victory against Heritage Christian in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Twisters since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
