Mendon won the last time they faced Centreville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hornets blew past the Bulldogs 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Rowan Allen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Mendon got a massive performance out of Elise Allen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Cienna Nightingale was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Mendon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
