Baseball Recap: Glasgow Find Success

While Glasgow's victory against Metcalfe County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Glasgow skirted past Metcalfe County 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Scotties have posted since April 27, 2024.

Josiah Driver was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Garett Shields was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Glasgow's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1. As for Metcalfe County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glasgow will venture away from home to face off against Green County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glasgow's pitchers better be ready for this one: Green County has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Metcalfe County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hart County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
