Basketball Recap: Runge Comes Up Short

Runge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Nordheim Pirates, falling 40-19. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 23-13 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Runge's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Nordheim, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Runge will head out to take on Prairie Lea at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Nordheim, they will take on Moulton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Moulton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
