Baseball Recap: Leland Takes a Loss

Leland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Fremont Firebirds. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Firebirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Leland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Son, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was Son's first of the season.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fremont, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Leland will welcome Archbishop Mitty at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fremont, they are taking a road trip to square off against Saratoga at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
