Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Indians vs. Kickapoo Panthers

Seneca is 0-10 against Kickapoo since December of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Indians just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Seneca has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Seneca turned things around against Richland Center on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Hornets 44-41.

Meanwhile, Kickapoo was able to grind out a solid victory over Black Hawk last Monday, taking the game 48-39. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kickapoo's win came from a few key players that Seneca will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Breylyn Culver, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle Oliver, who went 5-for-7 on her way to 11 points and five rebounds.

Seneca's record is now 4-10. As for Kickapoo, their record now sits at 6-9.

Seneca lost to Kickapoo on the road by a decisive 43-27 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2025. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Oliver, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards.
