Basketball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Skates Past Glenn with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parkland, R.J. Reynolds was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 57-25 win over the Glenn Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-12 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead R.J. Reynolds to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hattie Boone, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds. Boone is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cora Ankerson, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

R.J. Reynolds smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2023.

The victory snapped R.J. Reynolds' losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-12 record. As for Glenn, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

R.J. Reynolds has already played their next contest, a 54-42 loss against East Forsyth on the 4th. As for Glenn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-15 defeat against Mount Tabor on the 4th.
