Soccer Recap: Northview's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Northview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They never let the Covina Colts onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jaylene Esteves, who's now up to five this season.

Northview's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-6-1. As for Covina, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview will welcome Wilson at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covina, they will take on Charter Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
