Volleyball Recap: Grand Ledge Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Grand Ledge had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Eastern Quakers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-8, 25-19.

Grand Ledge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Klopp, who had 14 assists and two aces. That's the most assists Klopp has posted over her last five contests.

Klopp wasn't the only good servers: Grand Ledge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 16 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Grand Ledge's victory bumped their record up to 20-15-2. As for Eastern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-21-5 record this season.

Grand Ledge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against East Lansing on the 5th. Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
