Softball Recap: Hamilton Bobcats vs. Santa Rosa Academy Rangers
Hamilton lost against Santa Rosa Academy back in May of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hamilton came up short against Santa Rosa Academy, falling 10-2. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaitlynn Barreto put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Genesis Andrade was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
Hamilton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Santa Rosa Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will welcome Desert Christian Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will look to defend their home field on April 2 against Lakeside at 3:15 p.m.
