The Fairview Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Conneaut Area Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairview is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Monday, Fairview made easy work of North East and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Tigers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Fairview got a massive performance out of Brayden Hennessy, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Stevens, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Fairview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North East only posted an OBP of .346.
Meanwhile, Conneaut Area earned an 8-4 victory over Northwestern on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Chase Stewart made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Wilpula, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Logan Nottingham was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
Fairview's record is now 6-0-1. As for Conneaut Area, the victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 4-2.
Everything went Fairview's way against Conneaut Area when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Fairview made off with a 12-1 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
