Baseball Recap: Nemaha Central Takes a Loss

Nemaha Central had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 5-5 to make it four. They fell just short of the Perry-Lecompton Kaws by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Thunder have lost by just one run.

As for Perry-Lecompton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

For Perry-Lecompton's part, the team relied heavily on Dayton Tucker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Tucker a new career-high. Kayden Baker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

While Nemaha Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
