Basketball Recap: Charlottesville Falls Short of Heritage in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Charlottesville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 72-37 defeat at the hands of the Heritage Pride on Tuesday. The Black Knights have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Charlottesville lost, don't look at Elaina Pierce. Despite the final result, she posted eight points.

Charlottesville's defeat dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Heritage, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Charlottesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-31 win against Hampton on the 7th.
