Basketball Recap: Ninety Six Wildcats vs. McCormick Chiefs
After flying high against Ware Shoals last Saturday, Ninety Six came back down to earth. The Ninety Six Wildcats came up short against the McCormick Chiefs on Monday, falling 68-42. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Chiefs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Terrence Cartledge was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards for McCormick. Cartledge is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Williams, who posted 12 points.
Ninety Six's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for McCormick, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ninety Six Wildcats challenge the Crescent Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
