Baseball Game Preview: Greens Farms Academy Dragons vs. Hamden Hall Country Day Hornets

The Greens Farms Academy Dragons will head out on the road to square off against the Hamden Hall Country Day Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greens Farms Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Saturday, it was close, but Greens Farms Academy sidestepped Marianapolis Prep for a 5-3 victory.

Greens Farms Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Blattman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That run marked the first that Blattman has scored this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Hamden Hall Country Day's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brunswick School on Thursday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greens Farms Academy pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hamden Hall Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Greens Farms Academy suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Hamden Hall Country Day in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
