Basketball Recap: St. Marys Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Marys can now relate to. They came up short against the Silver Lake Eagles on Tuesday, falling 51-31. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 60-37 loss last Friday.

When it comes to explaining why St. Marys lost, don't look at Hayden Heim. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Heim is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

St. Marys' defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Silver Lake, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
