Baseball Recap: Blanchet Catholic Comes Up Short

Blanchet Catholic lost to Taft on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blanchet Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Taft, they pushed their record up to 19-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Blanchet Catholic will host Union/Cove at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Taft, they will head out to take on Yamhill-Carlton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Taft's pitchers better be ready for this one: Yamhill-Carlton has averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
