Baseball Recap: Holy Trinity Falls Short of Ogden International in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Holy Trinity can now relate to. They lost 14-7 to Ogden International on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Jovanni Cortez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Elijah Mota, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Holy Trinity's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10. As for Ogden International, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.

As of now, neither Holy Trinity nor Ogden International have any future games scheduled.
