Basketball Recap: Taylor Hanes and Zoey Stiltner Secure Win for Union Grove Christian

Union Grove Christian posted their closest win since November 21st on Monday. They skirted past the Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles 40-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Union Grove Christian was led to victory by Zoey Stiltner and Taylor Hanes. Stiltner almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards, while Hanes dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds. That's the most boards Stiltner has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Sara Long, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Union Grove Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Grove Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Living Water Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m.
