Softball Recap: Nicolet Takes a Loss

Nicolet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-0 to the Port Washington Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 22-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Nicolet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Jewell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Nicolet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Port Washington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Nicolet is set to face off against their familiar foe Grafton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Port Washington will square off against rival West Bend West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
