Baseball Recap: North Valley Baptist Bulldogs vs. Summit Shasta Black Bears

North Valley Baptist extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-8 in the process. They lost 13-3 to the Summit Shasta Black Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly ten runs.

North Valley Baptist saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Fanara, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Summit Shasta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-12. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Summit Shasta's side, Benedict Del Rosario was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He is becoming a predictor of Summit Shasta's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-2 (and 6-10 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Milo Jung was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jalen Mingao, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
