Volleyball Recap: American Takes a Loss

American lost against James Logan back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The American Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the James Logan Colts.

While American ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 19-25, 25-19.

James Logan found their leader in sophomore Austin Milton, who had 41 digs and two assists. Those 41 digs set a new season-high mark for Milton.

American's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for James Logan, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Coming up, American will host Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for James Logan, they will challenge Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James Logan is facing Washington at the right time seeing as Washington is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
