Volleyball Recap: Ridley Comes Up Short

Ridley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the East Vikings, falling 3-0. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Ridley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made East work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-14, 25-17.

Reilly Kienzle paced Ridley's offense, picking up seven kills. Kienzle got some help from Izzy Verlinghieri and her 20 assists. Ava Friel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ridley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Ridley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Penncrest on the 3rd. As for East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Henderson on the 4th.
