Melbourne Central Catholic proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Rockledge Raiders 7-6. The victory was nothing new for the Hustlers as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Madelynn Prayto was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February.

In other batting news, Madelyn Oesterle was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton West, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Melbourne Central Catholic's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Rockledge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Melbourne Central Catholic will venture away from home to face off against Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rockledge, they will host Merritt Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
