Softball Recap: DeLand Bulldogs vs. Taylor Wildcats
DeLand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Taylor Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that DeLand has lost by exactly six runs.
Brianne Yocum made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
On Taylor's side, Amya Ramos was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a stolen base. Haley Worden was another key contributor, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
DeLand's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Taylor, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.
DeLand will challenge Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Taylor, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mainland at 6:00 p.m.
