Soccer Game Preview: Del Valle vs. Dripping Springs

Del Valle is 0-4 against Dripping Springs since February of 2023 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Del Valle duke it out with the Dripping Springs at 7:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Del Valle is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 6-0 to Lake Travis. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Dripping Springs fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lake Travis on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 4-1. That makes it the first time this season the Tigers have let down their home crowd.

Del Valle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-4. As for Dripping Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4-4.
