Smackover made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Monticello, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Smackover was the clear victor by a 12-5 margin over Monticello on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Buckaroos sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Smackover's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Monticello, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Smackover will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bismarck at 5:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Monticello, they will be taking part in a tournament against Batesville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monticello's pitchers better be ready for this one: Batesville has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
