Basketball Recap: Westside Wolves vs. Westbury Huskies
The Westside Wolves stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westbury 71-14 at home. Westside is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Westside had a senior duo take command as Te?lynn Lee-rose almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds and Neso Anisiobi scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee-rose has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tytiana Hedge, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Westside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Westbury, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Westside will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Houston Math Science & Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1181st, while the Wolves are ranked 280th). Westbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
