Salisbury Christian extends road losing streak to eight

Recap: Salisbury Christian vs. Calvary Christian Academy
Salisbury Christian were the 47-46 winner over Calvary Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Salisbury Christian lost to Calvary Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 48-34 margin on Tuesday.
JR Gillespie (HS) continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Calvary Christian Academy, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Sensenig (HS), who scored eight points along with six assists.
Salisbury Christian's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Salisbury Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Freire Charter School Wilmington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freire Charter School Wilmington is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Calvary Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenwood Mennonite at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
