Volleyball Recap: Oldenburg Academy Beats Lanesville for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Oldenburg Academy had won three straight games and Lillian Vanderpohl did her part to make it four on Saturday. The Twisters came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lanesville Eagles for which the team can thank Vanderpohl, who had 14 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Oldenburg Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Oldenburg Academy's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Lanesville, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-12.

Coincidentally, Oldenburg Academy and Lanesville will both be playing Rising Sun the next time they take the court. The Twisters will head out to face the Shiners at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
