Football Game Preview: Charleston Tigers vs. Mansfield Tigers

Charleston will head out on the road to challenge Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after four games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Charleston blew past West Fork, posting a 45-7 victory. Charleston's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Carter Little produced another solid effort throwing for 134 yards and three TDs on only nine passes. Little is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mansfield). They breezed past Hackett to the tune of 52-6 on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Hornets are ranked 140th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Charleston's record is now 4-0. As for Mansfield, their record now sits at an identical 4-0.

Charleston couldn't quite finish off Mansfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 42-39. Can Charleston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
