Volleyball Recap: Antioch Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Antioch lost against Libertyville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sequoits fell 2-0 to the Wildcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11.

Justin Niznik paced Antioch's offense, picking up four kills. Niznik got some help from Ryan Jilly and his six assists.

Antioch's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-9. As for Libertyville, they pushed their record up to 27-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Antioch will host Belvidere North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sequoits are facing the Blue Thunder at the right time seeing as the Blue Thunder are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Libertyville, they will take on Warren Township at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
