Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Pleasant). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Albemarle Bulldogs a 19-0 shutout on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by ten runs or more this season.

Mount Pleasant's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8. As for Albemarle, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Mount Pleasant will be playing in front of their home fans against North Stanly at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
