Softball Game Preview: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Kelly Trojans

The Kennedy Crusaders will take on the Kelly Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennedy has four straight victories, Kelly has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Kennedy got the win against Bulls College Prep by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Crusaders have won 11 games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennedy got a massive performance out of Jaida Rebolledo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Rebolledo is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yesenia Valdez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Kennedy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Kelly's offense. They came up short against Kennedy on Monday, falling 15-0.

Kelly's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 14-5-1.

Kennedy took their victory against Kelly in their previous matchup on Monday by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
