High Point Academy found their leader in sophomore J'Sean Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Sanders is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trapp Morman, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds.
High Point Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Easley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against T.L. Hanna on Friday, sneaking past 70-68.
Easley's win came from a few key players High Point Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ethan Crews, who went 7 for 14 en route to 22 points. Miles Campbell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.
Easley's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.4 points per game. As for High Point Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.
