Recap: Mize Bulldogs vs. St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints
The Mize Bulldogs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-3 victory over St. Andrew's Episcopal. The win was nothing new for Mize as they're now sitting on six straight.
Leading Mize to victory were Jamiyon Gray and Brandon Hancock. Gray rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, while Hancock gained 114 total yards and three touchdowns. Hancock was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Wesley Little and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Mize's victory.
Mize's victory was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points per game. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Mize will take on Scott Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Scott Central is ranked 129th, while Mize is ranked 112th). St. Andrew's Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
