Football Recap: Laurel's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

If Laurel was feeling good fresh off their 43-0 takedown of Riverside last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans took a hard 46-28 fall against the Bishop Canevin Crusaders on Saturday. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Luca Santini threw for 109 yards and one TD. Kolton Carlson was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Laurel fell to 3-1. As for Bishop Canevin, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Laurel and Bishop Canevin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Spartans (ranked 183rd) will meet Rochester (ranked 410th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bishop Canevin will challenge Cornell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (152 vs. 328).
