Fruitland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the New Plymouth Pilgrims get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Fruitland got a massive performance out of Nate Grosvenor, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Coye Coffman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Fruitland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Plymouth only posted an OBP of .118.

Looking ahead, Fruitland will face off against American Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Plymouth, they will challenge Sugar-Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. New Plymouth is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
