Recap: Somerset Bulldogs vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats
The Somerset Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. Their tough 65-42 loss to Carrizo Springs might stick with them for a while. Somerset just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Leading Carrizo Springs to victory were Melanie Davila and Adisyn Reyes. Davila scored 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Reyes scored 23 points along with six assists and three steals. Davila also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ysella Hinojosa, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and five blocks.
Somerset has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season. As for Carrizo Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 20-11.
Somerset will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasanton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carrizo Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Pearsall at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearsall has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
