Basketball Recap: Doddridge County Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Doddridge County Bulldogs ended up a good deal behind the Williamstown Yellowjackets and lost 66-49.

Despite the loss, Doddridge County still got an impressive performance from Jaden Solomon, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Solomon a new career-high in boards. Heston Hayes was another key player, putting up ten points.

Doddridge County's loss dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Williamstown, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Doddridge County will venture away from home to challenge Ritchie County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Williamstown, they are taking a road trip to face off against Poca at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Williamstown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests.
