Volleyball Game Preview: Freedom Falcons vs. St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins

The Freedom Falcons will head out to challenge the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Freedom will be strutting in after a win while St. Patrick-St. Vincent will be coming in after a defeat.

Freedom took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Pittsburg 3-2.

Freedom wouldn't go down easily and took Pittsburg into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Meanwhile, St. Patrick-St. Vincent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Mary's. Surprisingly, this marked the Bruins' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Saint Mary's a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 32-30, 25-22, 25-19.

Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-21.
