Volleyball Recap: Port Huron's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Port Huron extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to five on Monday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came out on top against the Lutheran North Mustangs by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2022.

As for Lutheran North, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. The match marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

Despite the loss, Lutheran North still got an impressive performance from Victoria Burnham, who had 20 digs and two assists. Burnham has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Port Huron and Lutheran North will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Red Hawks will challenge rival Chippewa Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lutheran North is set to take on their familiar foe Shrine Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on September 3.
