Whitley County waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Franklin County Flyers.

EJ Allen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bowling, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Whitley County pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Franklin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Whitley County is taking a road trip to challenge Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Harrison County at 5:30 p.m. The Flyers will need to watch out since the Thorobreds/Fillies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
