Recap: Sevier County vs. Knoxville Central
Knoxville Central won the last time they faced Sevier County, and things went their way on Friday, too. Everything went Knoxville Central's way against Sevier County as they made off with a 40-6 win. Knoxville Central was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Knoxville Central's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 26 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Sevier County couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 26-0 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Knoxville Central in the second half and held Sevier County to 6 points. The victory bumped Knoxville Central's record up to 0-2. The loss dropped Sevier County back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Knoxville Central will look to defend their home turf next week against Hardin Valley Academy at 7:30 PM. As for Sevier County, they will face off against Dobyns-Bennett.
