Baseball Game Preview: Moulton Bobkatz vs. Knippa Crushers

The Moulton Bobkatz will face off against the Knippa Crushers on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Moulton played against Runge on Saturday and won via forfeit.

Knippa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Benavides by a score of 6-3. The victory was nothing new for the Crushers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Memphis G made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one double.

G wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cole M, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those four stolen bases gave M a new career-high. Another was Aj A, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Knippa's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Moulton, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Moulton couldn't quite get it done against Knippa in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Bobkatz avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
