Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Cornerstone Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.61 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Alamo Heights Mules, sneaking past 13-11. 13 seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Cornerstone Christian pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Alamo Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.
