Baseball Recap: Mesilla Valley Christian School Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Mesilla Valley Christian School entered their tilt with Mescalero Apache on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Chiefs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 17-2 win on Saturday.

Weston Marr made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Davis Coyle was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Jude Herrera was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
