After a string of seven wins, Kennedy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Payton College Prep Grizzlies who were credited with the win. The Payton College Prep Grizzlies got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Kennedy Crusaders' two. Kennedy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Payton College Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Kennedy's goal came courtesy of Guadalupe Cahue, who's now up to 13 this season.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 11-2-2. As for Payton College Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1-3.

Kennedy has already played their next match, an 8-1 win against Agricultural Science on the 3rd. As for Payton College Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Northside on the 4th.
