Fairfield is a perfect 10-0 against Mt. Carmel since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mules will face off against the Golden Aces at 7:00 p.m. Fairfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Thursday, Fairfield beat Eldorado 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Fairfield took both sets by at least 22 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-1, 25-3.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel came up short against Casey-Westfield on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Golden Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Mt. Carmel, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Fairfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Carmel in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mules since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
